Joint International Staff Training Week: Celebrating University Anniversaries Co-organised by the University of Padua and the University of St Andrews - Free, registration required.
The University of Padua and the University of St Andrews invite colleagues to participate in an online International Staff Training Week on the topic of ‘Celebrating University Anniversaries'.
This four-day event builds on the 800th anniversary celebrations of the University of Padua coming in 2022 and the 600th anniversary celebrations at St Andrews in 2013. The Thursday is dedicated to fundraising, alumni, event organisation and international topics.
Administrative and academic staff members from Higher Education Institutions, students and interested people are welcome to attend the open sessions.

How to organise a University Anniversary: logistics, communications, Alumni, fundraising, public engagement & international relations
This session will give an overview of the 600th anniversary events and fundraising at St Andrews, and preparations for Padua's celebrations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Topics include:
- Reviewing the 600th anniversary fundraising campaign at St Andrews: this presentation will review the 600th anniversary campaign, in which £100m was raised to support the University of St Andrews.
- Preparing the anniversary celebrations for Padua's 800th anniversary in 2022: this will give an overview of the celebrations, and explore alumni and friends engagement; fundraising for heritage and museums; and international relations.
These will be followed by a panel discussion with staff from Padua, St Andrews and partner universities.
