'Sketching: A tool for exploring systems' with Tom Maiorana - Free

This interactive workshop combines sketching and systems thinking. If either of those are intimidating to you… don't worry! The point of this workshop is to show how fun and easy it can be to think about systems. We will work with a real challenge at St. Andrews as a way to put the ideas from the workshop into practice. By the end of the hour-long workshop you will have new tools that can help you take action on systemic challenges.

This session will be run by Tom Maiorana, Assistant Professor in the Department of Design at UC Davis where he focuses on product design, design thinking, and prototyping. He is also a Fellow at the John Muir Institute and regularly teaches at Stanford University's d.school. Tom has an MFA in Design from Stanford University and a Bachelor of the Arts from Vassar College. His expertise is in Design Thinking, Prototyping, Product Development, Design Ethnography, Interaction Design, Prototyping Complex Systems, Entrepreneurship.
