Sunday Worship -- Remembrance Day

This Sunday's service will mark Remembrance Day, 100 years since Armistice, starting at the earlier time of 10.50am.

The service for Remembrance Sunday will be conducted by University Chaplain Revd Dr Donald MacEwan. The sermon, entitled 'The Promise of the Century', will explore the hopes which the Armistice brought exactly a century ago, and to what extent those hopes have been fulfilled over the subsequent hundred years.

Following the chapel service, a wreath will be laid on the PH to commemorate all martyrs, including Patrick Hamilton and John Ogilvie. Worshippers are then invited to follow the procession along North Street to the War Memorial where Professor Derek Woollins, Vice-Principal (Research and Innovation), will lay a wreath at the war memorial on behalf of the University.
