St Andrews Bat Lab Research Open Day
Colleagues in the St Andrews Bat Lab are inviting staff, researchers and students from across the University to join us for a research open day and informal meet-and-greet.
Meet the team, tour the facilities and discover how bats are used to study vocal communication, brain function, genetics and behaviour through approaches such as transgenic models, neural circuit tracing, behavioural assays and neurophysiology.
Bats are also emerging as powerful model species for research in ageing, social dynamics, neural coding, metabolism, virology, disease resistance and evolutionary and computational genomics.
Whether you're looking for new collaborators, interested in learning about bat research or simply curious about what happens in the bat lab, come along to enjoy informal conversations, find collaboration opportunities, get a guided lab and facility tour, and find inspiration for future projects.
Drop into the ground floor of the Bute Building any time from 10am to 5pm, with guided tours starting from 12 noon. Please bring University Staff or Student ID.
All University of St Andrews staff and students are welcome.
