Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin: The Bruce (A Cathedral Opera) Musicians and Singers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - Free
Kazakh musician Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin's operatic depiction of Robert the Bruce.
‘The Bruce: Cathedral Opera' is a 1-hour piece for church organ and voice inspired by John Barbour's fourteenth-century epic narrative poem ‘The Bruce', which traces the career of Robert the Bruce and his fight for Scotland's independence.
Specifically composed to be performed in large sacred settings, the accompaniment is written for organ, here played by the composer.
