Open Night at the Observatory

Every year the University Observatory opens its doors for the traditional Open Night. This year, the event falls on Saturday 1 December. You are invited to spend an evening with the resident astronomers under the dark night sky at the observatory, near Buchanan Gardens.

All telescopes will be in action, including the magnificent, 56 year old James Gregory Telescope, the largest in Scotland.

Weather permitting, visitors will observe galaxies, star clusters, and Mars.

For more details and a detailed programme, please see the observatory website.
