Knowledge and Practice meeting with Dr Melyssa Fuqua Establishing yourself as an emerging research leader
The University of St Andrews Business School's Department of Management is delighted to welcome Dr Melyssa Fuqua from the University of Melbourne. Dr Fuqua, a guest of the Department's Knowledge and Practice thematic research group, will be based at the Department during the week of Monday 30 September 2024.
During the visit, Dr Fuqua will hold an information exchange session for PhD students and early career scholars in the Business School. This workshop event, an opportunity to build on connections across the School, is titled ‘Establishing yourself as an emerging research leader'.
Dr Fuqua's research explores how sporting clubs influence aspiration and participation of rural youth in tertiary education and work. She is an editor of the Australian and International Journal of Rural Education and manager of the Rural Education Research Student Network for research students, early-career researchers, and experienced scholars who have an interest in rural education research.
