Hands Off: LGBTQ+ Cultural Heritage and Ethical Stewardship -- Day Two Free

Who should be responsible for safeguarding queer and trans collections for posterity, and how should this be done?

‘Hands Off' is a two-day conference organised by the ‘Perverse Collections: Building Europe's Queer and Trans Archives' project, led by Professor Glyn Davis in the Department of Film Studies.

Day two of the conference is being held at the V&A Dundee and will take the form of a series of roundtable discussions. Each panel will explore a key theme: the politics of collections, the value of creating archives centred on just one element of the LGBTQ+ rainbow coalition, the role of words and categories in museums, archives and collections, and the geopolitics of queer and trans archival practices.

The event is free and catered.
