Art Soc workshop Bookbinding basics

The student art society, known as Art Soc, will be running a creative session inspired by the Mary, Queen of Scots exhibition on display at the Wardlaw Museum from Saturday 7 March to Sunday 20 September 2026.

This workshop will focus on bookbinding, drawing inspiration from the books and records on display that shed light on Mary, Queen of Scots, but also on the everyday people of her time.

Art Soc members will teach fellow students the basics of bookbinding, how it is done and why this technique was used during Mary's reign.

A varied programme of events, including family events, accompanies the exhibition.
