Walk a path of light on the longest night

Weather permitting, there will be a candlelit labyrinth on Winter Solstice.

A labyrinth is an appropriate metaphor for the Covid-19 pandemic, where it is clear that we all have a path to follow, but it isn't at all obvious how far we have to go or when and where we might reach the exit.

The labyrinth will be laid out, and lit by candles in bags on the ground. Folk walk it in silence.

It is simply a beautiful way to think about anything you like, walking along a path of light on the longest night of the year.

It is appropriate for all age groups, and might be of particular interest to families with children.

No booking necessary, come at any point between 4.30pm and 9pm. The walk will take 20 to 30 minutes and you may have to wait a few minutes when you arrive. Dress warmly.

Location: Spanish Gardens, accessed through Economics & Finance car park, The Scores.
