Voices18: Shine- Science Meets Opera Free but ticketed

Byre Opera takes you on a journey back to the 18th century when Isaac Newton was at the height of his scientific powers and opera was the pinnacle of artistic expression.

Discover how Newton's theories of light and colour play out in English baroque composer John Eccles' opera The Judgment of Paris (1701), and how this assists modern-day astronomical discovery. A unique, synesthetic performance, in which a state-of-the-art light installation illuminates the musical content of the opera.

Free but ticketed. Presented as part of St Andrews Voices. Book tickets via the Byre Theatre website.
