VIP St Andrews conference - Free

This conference aims to highlight and celebrate the award-winning Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) programme at the University of St Andrews.

A Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) is an ongoing research project led by an academic supervisor and made up of a team of students from any level of study (the vertical aspect). The team of students can come from different subject areas with diverse backgrounds and skills across both arts and science. The VIP programme in St Andrews, established in 2020 with 5 projects, now represents 13 interdisciplinary projects with more than a 100 enrolled students across the Arts, Humanities and Sciences.

We invite current VIP students and staff, but also welcome undergraduate students, academic and teaching staff, research supervisors and all those curious about VIP to attend. We will showcase research presentations and posters from VIP students based on their ongoing work. We will also feature roundtable discussions with current VIP staff about their experiences of starting up and supervising VIP projects.

The aim of the conference is to create a space for curious staff and students to learn more about the programme, to highlight the exciting research led by current VIP students, and to reflect on the exciting interdisciplinary research and collaborations that VIP hopes to facilitate in the future.

A detailed programme of the day will be confirmed shortly. Attendees are required to book a spot through PDMS. The booking link can be accessed through the ‘more information' section below.
