The Book "Lunch" of 'The Anthropology of Entrepreneurship' by Dr Richard Pfeilstetter - Free

In this ‘book lunch', Dr Richard Pfeilstetter, Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Seville and visiting professor at the University of St Andrews will discuss his latest book, ‘The Anthropology of Entrepreneurship'.

Drawing on his own research on entrepreneurship in Europe, revisiting classic works in anthropology, and examining a wide range of studies from the Global South, Richard's book provides a comprehensive overview of the unique anthropological contribution to the field of entrepreneurship studies.

Join us for lunch as Richard talks about the book alongside Dr Philip Roscoe, Dr Daniel M.Knight and Dr Neha Gopinath [bios below]. We'll have time for a Q&A, networking and the chance to purchase the book at a discounted rate.

Panel bios:

Dr Philip Roscoe is a Reader in the School of Management at the University of St Andrews. He is a sociologist interested in the organization of markets. His monograph Creating Economy explores the interplay of materiality, sociality, and intellectual property rights in the work of creative entrepreneurs. Outside academia, he worked as a financial journalist and small-business owner.

Dr Daniel M. Knight is Reader in the Department of Social Anthropology and Director of the Centre for Cosmopolitan Studies at the University of St Andrews. His most recent monograph, Vertiginous Life: An Anthropology of Time and the Unforeseen presents a theory of temporal vertigo and associated affects induced by a period of chronic crisis in Greece.

Dr Neha Gopinath is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Management at the University of St Andrews. Neha's research primarily focuses on exploring entrepreneurship and workplace wellbeing. She is interested in understanding innovative people and organisational culture within entrepreneurial firms, and possible relationships with workplace wellbeing. She has published in the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Emerging Economies.
