The Arab Uprising in Egypt -- Book Launch Special Guest - Dr Ahmed Abozaid, Chair - Antony Lang

Dr Ahmed Abozaid is a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow (Research Associate) in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge.

During this fellowship, he is working on an interdisciplinary project that examines the genealogy of state violence in the MENA region. Between 2022 to 2024, Ahmed held the position of Lecturer of International Security and International Relations at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Southampton. Additionally, he was a fellow at Columbia University's Program on Exiting Violence from 2021 to 2022.

Ahmed obtained his PhD in International Relations and Comparative Political Theory from the University of St Andrews.
