This event has been cancelled
How can computer games cure an infection that is still killing more than a million people a year; the disease the Victorians called the "White Death"? 12.30-7pm on the 24th of March you can hear what researchers at St Andrews are doing to tackle the problem. You can play a computer game that St Andrews researchers developed along with a team in Abertay University, called Sanitarium, that allows you to learn about TB disease how it spreads and its treatment. Health service workers will talk about their experience caring for TB patients and Professor Stephen Gillespie will talk about "Are we winning against the White Death?". You will be able to see examples of infection control equipment used in hospitals. There will be lots more to see and do so come along to this free family event. Light refreshments will be provided.
