Sustainable Fashion Extravaganza A showcase of all aspects of sustainable fashion in and around St Andrews
This showcase event open to everyone presents all the sustainable fashion options in and around St Andrews, kicking off with a talk on the True Cost of Fast Fashion with the University's Sarah Cook.
Sarah used to work in fast fashion and travelled the world — her moving talk will shed light on the human cost of the industry.
There will also be a range of activities, displays and stalls to both fire your imagination and motivate you to make better choices, featuring:
- a clothes swap and sale from St AndReuse and Sustainable Style
- how craftivism can effect change — a quieter kind of activism
- a visible mending demonstration and opportunity to learn
- Clothes (Re)Design and Upcycling
- ‘What is Your Style?' workshop
- Fairtrade and ethical sourcing stall
- The Wave Project — second-hand wetsuit fundraising sale
- Advice on second-hand and vintage shopping from Money Mentors
And more – other activities and stalls will be added in the lead up to the event.
