Sustainability of teaching webinar
Join this online webinar organised by Sustainability in the Curriculum Working Group (SitC) to explore the sustainability impacts of our modes of teaching.
This event will focus on the energy costs of using AI, presented by Dr Patrick Veenhuizen-Schrempf of the School of Computer Science, and the sustainability implications of fieldclasses, presented by William McVean of the School of Geography and Sustainable Development.
We will further highlight a range of other impacts, including development of representative reading lists, laboratory materials and processes, Fairtrade, responsible electives and procurement of materials and services.
This event is organised by Sustainability in the Curriculum Working Group (SitC), which supports education for sustainable development in teaching and learning at the University of St Andrews. The event is geared primarily to academic staff from departments around the University, but academic support staff and students are welcome to attend.
