Summer meeting of the General Council

The Summer meeting of the General Council, whose membership includes all graduates of the University, will take place on Saturday 29 June 2019 at 10.30am in Parliament Hall, South Street, St Andrews, Fife KY16 9JU. Tea/coffee will be available from 10am.

Members are encouraged to attend to hear about recent developments and to catch up with fellow members.

The Chancellor, Lord Campbell of Pittenweem, will preside. The Principal, Professor Sally Mapstone, will deliver the University Address and there will also be a presentation entitled ‘The new Scottish Oceans Institute: a Hub for Excellence and Innovation in Marine Science' by Professor Vincent Janik, Professor of Biology and Director of the Scottish Oceans Institute. Wendy Russell, Acting Convener of the General Council's Business Committee, will report on the Committee's activities since the last meeting.

While pre-registration is not required for the meeting, it would be helpful to know if you are planning to attend. To assist us with our arrangements, please register, stating your full name, year of graduation, degree and subject of study, if applicable, by sending an email to: [email protected].
