Have you got an idea that could make the world more sustainable? Are you curious to explore the challenges shaping our future? Startup Factory is a fast-paced, hands-on sustainability hackathon for university and college students across Scotland designed to turn big challenges into practical ideas with real-world impact.
The programme runs through a series of regional Startup Factory events, where students come together to explore environmental, social and economic sustainability challenges. There are cash prizes for the best teams: first prize of £1,500, second prize of £1,000, and a third prize of £500.
The strongest team from each region will be invited to pitch at the Startup Factory National Final in Glasgow on Wednesday 11 March 2026.
You don't need a startup idea to take part, just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to collaborate.
Sign up now to join Startup Factory and help build Scotland's sustainable future. If you are a college student, please select Non-university member as your Affiliation.
