STACEES Sustainability Series and Exhibition Launch

The Sustainability Series is a collection of 15 accessibly written articles showcasing the work of members of the St Andrews Network for Climate, Energy, Environment and Sustainability (STACEES).

In March, STACEES issued a competitive call for 100 word pitches and were delighted to receive 28 entries from researchers/research teams from across the University's academic Schools. The pitches were of a high quality and range of topics, making shortlisting the projects to appear in the Sustainability Series a challenge. We had originally planned to feature ten articles, however, 15 stood out. Sincere thanks to all who submitted a pitch.

Each article showcases the cutting-edge work of a researcher or research team at the University of St Andrews. The Series promotes researchers of all career stages, from PhD students to professors, and one article – ‘Creative breathing space for big green research projects' – illuminates the University's vision for its new Eden Campus.

The Sustainability Series is multidisciplinary; it features projects relating to climate inequality, environmental humanities, ecosystems, biodiversity, energy, sustainable technologies and climate change, approached from a broad range of perspectives, and collaborations from across the University.

The Sustainability Series will be available in from 17 September as a PDF booklet and 15 PDF articles. There will also be a limited number of print copies of the Sustainability Series booklet, which will be available at the launch event. Find out more about the exhibition…
