StACCS meets Kingdom Housing Association

The St Andrews Centre for Critical Sustainabilities (StACCS) is hosting a meeting with Kingdom Housing Association and there is availability for up to three additional members of staff at the University to join us.

Kingdom is based in Fife and works across East Central Scotland, providing housing to meet a wide range of needs. They have developed over 7500 affordable homes, the majority being for social rent, however, they also provide Mid-Market Rent, affordable housing for sale and factoring services. Kingdom employs around 380 staff and has a turnover of around £20 million per annum.

Kingdom has recently embarked on a new Sustainability Strategy, including developing a new sustainability advisory group which Dr Louise Reid, Co-Director of StACCS, sits on. As part of that, we are keen to initiate conversations between the University and Kingdom to explore mutually beneficial collaborations, for instance, there may be potential to involve Kingdom with funding applications, or for trials and living lab research.

If you would be interested in attending to find out more about Kingdom and possibilities for collaboration, please email [email protected] by 5pm on Tuesday 3 March.

The agenda will be as follows:

  • 10.30am to 10.40am Welcome and introductions
  • 10.40am to 11am Trisha Hill and Annelise Miller from Kingdom will give an overview about the Kingdom Group and their Sustainability Strategy
  • 11am to 11.20am Karen Laing, Director of Sustainability Transformation at St Andrews, will give an overview about St Andrews' Sustainability Journey
