St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2024 Final Sustainability Week

Join us during Sustainability Week for the 2024 final of the St Andrews Prize for the Environment.

The St Andrews Prize is a major international competition led by the University of St Andrews that recognises and rewards inspirational responses to the most pressing environmental issues. Since 1998, it has awarded more than USD$2.7 million in prize money to innovators from across the world who are working to protect the environment and encourage a more sustainable society.

This year's incredible finalists will present their work to a panel of judges, including University representatives the Master of the United College and Professor Sir Ian Boyd, and there will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.

Learn how they are restoring an Indian seasonal river which had become an open drain and garbage dump, promoting ecological recovery in Scotland through small and medium sized landholders, and changing behaviour in the construction industry to eliminate liquid waste pollution and conserve clean water resources.

Event schedule:

9am Welcome
9.05am Kham River Restoration Mission presentation
9.50am Northwoods Rewilding Network presentation
10.35am Washbox presentation

All welcome. Registration not required.

The winner of the USD$100,000 prize will be announced publicly on Friday 1 November.
