St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2023 Final
The St Andrews Prize for the Environment is delighted to invite you to the final of the 2023 Prize, which will take place in Upper College Hall on Tuesday 21 November.
The St Andrews Prize for the Environment is a major international initiative led by the University of St Andrews. It was launched in 1998 to recognise inspirational responses to the most pressing environmental issues of the day. Over its 25 year history, it has awarded more than US $2.5 million in prize money to innovators from across the world who are working to protect the environment and encourage a more sustainable society.
In the morning, three incredible finalists will present their projects to a panel of judges and there will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask their own questions to the finalists.
Finalists' Presentations (9am-11am, Doors open 8.30am):
9.05am Circular Ocean
9.45am BleagLee
10.25am Alianza Ceibo
Guests are welcome to return from 5.30pm, to hear from 2022 winner Misión Tiburón, who will talk about how the Prize has enabled them to support the promotion of ocean conservation by integrating marine education and training projects with scientific research and social advocacy. The winner of this year's $100,000 prize will be announced at 7pm followed by a short celebratory drinks reception, concluding at 8pm.
Free to attend. All welcome.
