St Andrews Organ Week: Massimiliano Guido £13, £10, £5
Massimiliano Guido, Senior Researcher at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of Pavia University in Italy, performs the first of two concerts featuring the Goetze and Gwynn copy of the 17th century Lucca positive organ, lent to the University by the builders.
The programme includes 16th and 17th century music from Italy by Trabaci, Frescobaldi and Rodio as well as music by J.S. Bach. The concert will also feature the historic 1868 T.C. Lewis organ in the McPherson Recital Room, as well as the Music Centre's double-manual harpsichord.
