St Andrews Chamber Orchestra and Fitzwilliam String Quartet: Residency Launch Concert £12, £10 for concessions, £5 for students, free for Music Centre members and MusicCard holders

‘Music From These Islands' is a special concert to mark the Fitzwilliam String Quartet's new residency at the Music Centre. They will perform alongside St Andrews Chamber Orchestra in a celebration of music's links with the physical environments from which it originates.

Vaughan Williams' ‘Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis' and Elgar's ‘Introduction and Allegro' are contrasted with works by Lilburn and McLeod who both took inspiration from the space, light and character of New Zealand.

Admission: £12, £10 for concessions, £5 for students, free for Music Centre members and MusicCard holders.

At 6.30pm in the Younger Hall Conference Room, the Fitzwilliam String Quartet will be ‘in conversation' (free to ticket holders).
