Speaker Series featuring Ellie Hearne

Join us for our Speaker Series with Ellie Hearne – University of St Andrews Alumna and Founder and CEO of Pencil or Ink, a management consultancy that helps leaders and companies master the human side of work.

Combining proven, practical communication skills with intangibles like trust and accountability, Ellie gets to know cultures and partners with leaders to improve how their teams work. Ellie's approach is to first understand the organisation, facilitate targeted workshops and offsites, and coach leaders and aspiring leaders to perform at their best – and to bring the company with them.

She's been quoted in The New York Times, Irish Times and Fast Company on workplace communication and in Business Insider on culture and entrepreneurship. She sits on the advisory council of Insights and the board of Accountability Lab, and the board of trustees of the University of St Andrews American Foundation. Born in Ireland and raised in the UK, Ellie is a GlobalScot business ambassador for the Scottish Government.

A licensed practitioner of Insights Discovery and Insights Transformational Leadership, Ellie earned a Master's degree from St Andrews (first-class honors) and is currently studying Organisational Leadership at Oxford University's Saïd Business School.

Ellie has worked with Apple, Bread Finance, Bustle, Ethic Investing, Google, Kate Spade, Kickstarter, Lippincott, LVMH, Marriott International, Mastercard, Morgan Stanley, Oliver Wyman, Pfizer, Piaget, Quartet, Run for Something, Spotify, Tapestry, Trialspark, Twitter and numerous organisations and individuals.

Ellie will chat about her own experience of being an entrepreneur as well as finding a niche and place in the market and what it's like working with some of the world's biggest companies.
