Sow a wildflower meadow St Katharine's Lodge
Come along this Sustainability Week and take part in creating a rich space for wildlife and people to enjoy.
Join our team of technical professionals in establishing a ribbon of native Scottish wildflowers and grasses which will help support pollinating insects as well as birds and small mammals such as bats and hedgehogs. It will bring colour and life to this greenspace. The team has chosen perennial plants which will come back year after year, a sustainable choice.
Take part in sowing the wildflower seed and lightly raking this in. First flowers should appear this summer. Wear sturdy footwear and warm outdoor clothing. Refreshments and biscuits will be provided.
This greenspace sits between North Street and The Scores, on the north side of the Main University Library. See What3Words for the exact location.
