Seminar with Peter Hall, Professor of Medical Oncology, ECRC, University of Edinburgh Data opportunities for high-value high-quality cancer care in Scotland

The Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies are delighted to welcome guest speaker Peter Hall, Professor of Medical Oncology, ECRC, University of Edinburgh to give a seminar on “Data opportunities for high-value high-quality cancer care in Scotland” on Thursday 23rd May 2024. Peter will also be joined by his colleague Elizabeth Lemmon, Research Fellow within the Health Economics Group of the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit.

“We are seeing a revolution in cancer care due to the proliferation of new technologies and treatments. More patients than ever are cured or living long and healthy lives after a cancer diagnosis. This presents a challenge for our healthcare system with its financial and capacity constraints. Healthcare Improvement Scotland has a number of initiatives designed to manage the design and maintain the quality of cancer care. Here we showcase opportunities presented by the revolution in healthcare data and data science to maximise the value of cancer services in Scotland.”

All staff and students welcome! For further info please contact the Graduate School at [email protected]
