Screening: The Drifter (Tatjana Turanskyj, 2010) Fokus Films from Germany and the German Screen Studies Network - Free

To celebrate ten years of FOKUS: Films from Germany, Goethe Institut Glasgow has invited guest curator Rastko Novakovic to present his selection of features under the festival theme Women: words and worlds.

The University will be showing three of these films in collaboration with the German Screen Studies Network and its co-directors, Dora Osborne (German) and Paul Flaig (Film Studies).

The Drifter (Tatjana Turanskyj, 2010), the Berlin-set debut of the late author and activist Tatjana Turanskyj, follows the struggles of unemployed, unconforming architect and mother Greta M. and has been dubbed ‘A Woman under the Influence for the twenty-first century'. The film will be introduced by Dora Osborne.
