Scotland Europa Horizon Europe Capacity Building Session

Scotland Europa are a membership-based organisation, networking Scotland in Europe (www.scotlandeuropa.com). A number of Universities, including St Andrews, are part of its membership. Hosted by the Global Office, this session outlines the advice and support that Scotland Europa can provide, and explores the opportunities arising from the UK rejoining the Horizon Europe programme. This session will be of particular interest for research staff, research support staff and postgraduate researchers who are interested in understanding more about Horizon and activities in Europe.

The session will start with a general introduction to Scotland Europa, who they are/what they do, and will cover services colleagues from the University of St Andrews can access as members, such as tailored policy advice and project support.

In the second part of the session, following the recent announcements on Horizon Europe, we will share an update of what Association means for UK stakeholders, and explore opportunities offered by the 2024 call.

The session is designed to help St Andrews make the most of Scotland Europa's services. You will get the opportunity to ask questions directly to two members of the team, James Sharples and Valentine Willmann, and it will be a chance to start a dialogue about future work.

The session will take place in United College School II from 10-11 am on Wednesday 4 October.
