School of Management research development session -- new date Applying for ESRC funding

The School of Management welcomes Honorary Professor Sabina Siebert, who will lead this virtual research development event for School staff and research students.

The topic of the session will be ‘Applying for ESRC funding'.

Professor Siebert has been working with the School's Professor Kevin Orr on an ethnographic study of the Scottish Parliament, where they were made Academic Fellows.

ESRC is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), an organisation that brings together the UK's seven research councils, Innovate UK and Research England. It is the largest organisation for funding research on economic and social issues. In this session, Professor Siebert will discuss the process of applying for ESRC grants and share her insights into how the grants are assessed – the role of the reviewers and grants' assessment panels. She will throw some light on the role of principal investigator response to reviewer comments and the session will end with Q&A and discussion.
