School of Biology Careers Day 2023

For Year 3 School of Biology students only.

Currently studying a Biology course and unsure about your career options? Would you like to find out what non-science careers your degree are available to you?

Come along to this year's Biology Careers Day where the theme will be: Biology Skills for non-Biology Careers. We will have a mixture of panel events and informal coffee networking.

You will have the opportunity to engage with St Andrews Biology alumni who have gone into non-Biology related roles and sectors.

We will also be joined by employers in the non-Biological field where they will inform participants how the skills you've gained from your degree will be useful in their sector.

The day will be concluded with a workshop by Ricky Shek (Careers Adviser) from the University's Careers Centre where he will teach participants how to identify transferable skills from your Biology degree and how to sell these skills in various recruitment stages — including CVs, Cover Letters, Personal Statements (for Postgraduate Study) and Interviews.
