Wolfwalkers is the third and final installment of Tomm Moore's Irish Folklore Trilogy of acclaimed animated films, following The Secret of Kells (2009) and Song of the Sea (2014).
Oscar-nominated, Wolfwalkers is a fantastical story of friendship, family, and fighting for what you believe in. Set in Ireland in 1650, we follow Robyn as she dreams of becoming a hunter just like her father, who's working on eliminating the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden forest beyond the city, Robyn meets Mebh, one of the last Wolfwalkers; a girl when she's awake, a wolf when she's asleep. When Robyn uncovers a secret part of the magical woods, the girls use their powers to protect the forest from the English Lord Commander and to save the rest of wolves from disappearing. Wolfwalkers not only displays the importance of protecting nature, but it also shows how powerful friendship can be when you stand together for what you believe in.
