Saints Talk: Dr Rory Cox Ethics of War: From the Ancient to the Modern World

Development are delighted to invite you to the next instalment in the Saints Talk series, from Dr Rory Cox on ‘Ethics of War: From the Ancient to the Modern World'.

Rory Cox is an expert on the ethics of war, history of violence, and intellectual history. His interests cover a broad chronological range, from ancient Egyptian just war doctrine, medieval military history, debates on the use of torture, and the history of terrorism.

His lecture will take the audience on a whistle-stop tour of how societies have engaged with questions about war and justice over time, and how many of the fundamental challenges remain to this day.
