Re-launch of the Centre for Poetic Innovation Readings to mark the new collaboration between the Schools of English and of Modern Languages
These poetry readings mark the new collaboration between the School of English and of Modern Languages. This event will feature two poets published by Mouse Press, a small publisher of experimental poetry that Senior Lecturer in the School of English, Dr Oli Hazzard, runs with co-editor Sophie Collins.
As recent graduates of the Creative Writing MLitt, the two poets reading at this event have strong connections with the School of English,
Connor Jones lives in Edinburgh. Neutral Wisowb (Mouse Press, 2024) is their first pamphlet.
Helena Fornells Nadal is a Catalan poet based in Edinburgh. She is currently engaged in research on the intersection between land politics and ecopoetics. I Could Not Ask You To (Mouse Press, 2025) is her first publication, and is the Poetry Book Society Winter Pamphlet Choice.
Please come along and hear these poets, who will be joined by Eleni Kefala, a wonderful poet from Cyprus who works in the School of Modern Languages.
