Peppy: Testosterone trouble: Andropause or male menopause, is it for real? Low energy and erectile dysfunction are often considered a normal part of ageing, but you don't have to accept them. - Free
Andropause — often called ‘male menopause' by the media — refers to the symptoms you might be experiencing as your hormones change as you get older.
These could include falling energy levels, a low sex drive or gaining weight around the middle as you reach midlife.
But unlike female menopause, the term ‘male menopause' is seen as unhelpful and medically misleading by most health professionals, as not every man will experience these changes.
Find out more about how your hormones can change as you age, along with the signs, symptoms and ways to manage the effects of andropause.
