Open Science Tools team: PsychoPy: how, what and why? School of Psychology and Neuroscience Friday seminar series
The School of Psychology and Neuroscience seminar series presents a talk by the Open Science Tools team (Jon Peirce and Becca Hirst) from the University of Nottingham and Open Science Tools Ltd, titled “PsychoPy: how, what and why?”, which will be hosted by Kalvin Roberts in Seminar Room 1 and accessible online through MS Teams.
Abstract:
PsychoPy is an open source software package for running behavioural science experiments. It was written by Jon Peirce, an alumnus of this department. In this seminar, we'll look back a little at how he came to write such a thing. Then we will explore what PsychoPy has become and the range of things you can do in this ecosystem and, essentially, why we think this is a useful approach. There will also be a workshop during the afternoon for those that want to take a deeper dive into how to use the software.
