Music Talk by Dr Billy Rough: Remembering Dundee's Music Halls: 1846-1914 - FREE

In the 19th century music hall was the pre-eminent
form of theatrical entertainment in Britain. Immensely
popular, its history tells us much about the cultural
life of the time, and its legacy can still be felt today.
This talk will explore Scotland's rich music hall history
through posters, paintings and newspapers held in
local collections including The McManus: Dundee's Art
Gallery & Museum and Dundee's Local History Centre.
