Microsoft Office & Adobe CC Certification Briefing

What are MOS Certifications?

The University of St Andrews is an authorised testing centre for Microsoft Office Specialist (or MOS for short) Certification exams. MOS certifications are a globally recognised industry standard qualification, backed by Microsoft to validate desktop computer skills.

The credentials are gained by passing a practical, in-application exam, available at graduated levels. In the eight years the MOS programme has been running, hundreds of certifications in the Office Suite of programmes have been achieved by participants who have benefitted from having achieved a recognised qualification as well as honing their skills through the process of preparation.

What are ACP Certifications?

The presentation will also introduce the new Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) certification, which delivers in-application exams to certify skills in using the industry standard digital media software Adobe CC. Our license for ACP certifications is for the 2021-2022 academic session only, so is a limited but valuable opportunity. These certifications share a similar certification path to MOS certifications and the presentation will detail those differences.

What will I hear in the briefing?

The session will give details on the programme:

the certification process from registration to examination
certifications available in both MS Office and Adobe CC
resources for exam preparation.

These certifications are a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills in Office or Adobe. CEED is offering the opportunity to achieve these certifications to all staff and students, free of charge.

The presentation will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions.
