Meet the Author: Eric Motley

We are delighted to invite alumni and friends of St Andrews to our next online 'Meet the Author' event, when Dr Eric Motley (MLitt 1998, PhD 2001) will join us to discuss his remarkable autobiographical book Madison Park: A Place of Hope (Zondervan, 2017).

For this special event of the series, we will be joined by the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, who will introduce the author, and by the Vice-Principal (International Strategy and External Relations), Professor Brad MacKay, who will moderate the discussion.

Follow Dr Motley on his journey from the small Alabama community of Madison Park, first to Samford University and then to the University of St Andrews, and thereafter all the way to The White House as a Special Assistant to President George W Bush. Dr Motley, now Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary at the non-profit Aspen Institute in Washington DC, will be reading extracts from his book and answering questions.

Please submit questions for the author by 12 noon (GMT) on Tuesday 27 October to [email protected]  Questions may also be submitted live during the event using the chat function.

Join us on Thursday 29 October at 5pm (GMT) / 1pm (EDT) via Microsoft Teams Live*

*Please note: you can join a Teams event, whether or not you have a Microsoft Teams account.

We do hope you can join us and look forward to receiving your questions.
