McPherson Singers: Elgar, Finzi and Britten - Free
The first of a choral double bill on this Remembrance Sunday sees the Music Centre's staff and postgraduate choir perform a programme of British music. Elgar's reminiscences of holidays in Upper Bavaria are juxtaposed with Gerald Finzi's deeply touching setting
of 17th century meditations on the Eucharist by Richard Crashaw and Benjamin Britten giving flight to words by W.H. Auden honouring the patron saint of music.
