One of the most admired British baritones of his generation, a winner of the Decca prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards and with multiple appearances throughout Europe, at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and with orchestras including the New York Philharmonic and London Symphony to his name, Mark Stone performs one of the greatest works of the Lieder repertoire. Franz Schubert's Winterreise sets 24 poems by Wilhelm Müller depicting a lone traveller's venture into snow-covered landscapes to escape the heartbreak of lost love. Mark Stone is joined by pianist Stephen Barlow.
