Student-led Missing Maps Mapathon
Join students for this student-led Missing Maps ‘Mapathon' to contribute to Mapping for Sudan: Khartoum 1, a humanitarian mapping project supporting the Norwegian Refugee Council's work in Sudan.
By mapping building footprints, we can help improve the geospatial data available to humanitarian organisations assessing damage, planning recovery and directing assistance to communities affected by the ongoing conflict.
No previous mapping experience is needed, just bring a laptop. Guidance will be provided, and students, staff and faculty are all welcome.
This is a practical opportunity to put interest in international relations towards something tangible, while supporting an important humanitarian initiative.
