In his performances, Beattie navigates the intricate cross-cultural links between folk melodies and western classical compositions, transcending historical, genre, and cultural boundaries with his guitar. His lunchtime concert at the Laidlaw Music Centre features music by María Rodrigo Bellido, Manuel de Falla, Marius Flothuis, Errollyn Wallen and more.
