Join Mary-Jannet Leith (recorders) and Thomas Allery (harpsichord) for a concert celebrating
the influence of Scottish music in eighteenth-century London, centered on the works of
Fife-born composer James Oswald. The programme traces Oswald's journey from Crail to the
capital, featuring charming selections from his Airs for the Seasons and music by fellow Scots
like Robert Bremner. Highlights include a Handel sonata and pieces by Italian composers
inspired by Scotland's rich musical traditions.
