The ‘Lost Detectives' project is devoted to the adaptation of forgotten works of nineteenth-century Russian crime fiction. In this ‘In Conversation' event, Claire Whitehead (Department of Russian) and author-illustrator Carol Adlam discuss their work adapting Semyon Panov's Three Courts (1876) into the graphic novel, Murder at the Ball. The event will discuss the challenges of the adaptation process and provide behind-the-scenes glimpses of the work in progress.
