KlangHaus in the School of English

Dr Sam Haddow, Lecturer in Modern & Contemporary Drama, in the School of English is hosting a free performance event and Q&A with the pioneering KlangHaus Theatre Company.

Klanghaus is a company that generates site responsive, truly immersive dreamlike shows with the audience experience and care to the fore. The work is bespoke, agile, terrifying, gorgeous and rooted in the tropes of cinema, theatre and the very finest elements of live rock n roll…

KlangHaus is a live art company, the founder members are a filmmaker, Sal Pittman and 3 musicians, Karen Reilly, Jon Baker and Mark Howe.

In their recent newsletter, KlangHaus said: “Our latest adventure is a trip back up to Scotland next week initiated by a writer's experience of being in a Darkroom show at Edinburgh Fringe last summer. Darkroom (our show for one person at a time in complete darkness) will be the final chapter of a new book called, ‘We All Die At The End'… We are looking forward to literally playing with the dark, stretching sound, blending ideas, sharing process, song, noise and silence…”
