Irvine Memorial Lecture: The social sciences are better than the natural sciences (Discuss) Professor Steven Shapin, Harvard University

This year's Irvine Memorial Lecture will be given by Professor Steven Shapin, Franklin L. Ford Research Professor of the History of Science at Harvard University.

The event will be introduced by Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Sally Mapstone and followed by a Q&A chaired by Professor Frank Lorenz Müller, Assistant Vice-Principal (Dean of Learning and Teaching) and Provost.

There will be a reception in the Medical and Biological Sciences Building foyer after the lecture.
