[Innovation Week] FinTech Startup Workshop
Join us for a first time ever Fintech Interactive Startup workshop!
St Andrews Innovation Fintech Interactive Startup Workshop aims to enable all participants interested in establishing ANY type of startup (Not just FinTech) by learning best practices through collaborative group work in an interactive workshop/game format. The workshop is open to everyone.
The interactive workshop aims to inspire and educate participants, turning their ideas into potentially valuable, convenient, and profitable services. The event will be moderated and organised by Farshad Nowshadi, who has extensive experience running similar events at Level39, the largest FinTech hub in Europe. With a background as the ex-VP of Technology for one of the largest banks in the Middle East and experience mentoring original startups such as Wise and Revolut, Mr. Nowshadi will ensure a positive and rewarding experience for all participants.
The event will be divided into three parts, totalling approximately three hours. Lunch will be provided therefore, please ensure you RSVP and let the team know of any dietary requirements.

Part A – Define a Potential Startup Proposition:
Participants will present a list of cutting-edge developments in the future of finance and AI. Groups will then use their imagination to develop startup propositions aimed at making the world a better place. Feedback on the feasibility and investability of each idea will be given throughout with judges awarding points.
Part B – Practical Steps to Move Your Startup Forward:
This session will cover essential considerations for creating a successful startup, including identity, branding, share allocation, investment, and promotion strategies. Each group will complete a worksheet and present their approach to everyone. Judges will review the propositions, provide feedback, and award points based on the best approach.
Final Judging and Awards:
Points from Parts A and B will be combined to determine the overall winner(s), who will receive a prize(s).
