In conversation: PhD and parenting Panel discussion featuring PGR parents

Are you a PhD student or other postgrad with parenting or childcare responsibilities? Are you a supervisor with a student-parent? Do you have friends or colleagues juggling studies or research alongside raising a family?

Come along to this informal session hosted by student-parents at the School of Geography and Sustainable Development.

Following an opening address by Dr Jessica Hope, the event will feature Ruhamah Paul, Josephine Laryea Asare and Md Anwer Hossain in conversation with Benjamin Ong. We will hear the experiences of PhD students who are juggling, or have recently juggled, parenting responsibilities alongside their PhDs.

The aim of the event is to share advice, express solidarity and raise awareness about this somewhat under-represented demographic within the student body.

This is an open event and all are welcome, whether you have extensive parenting experience or none. Please contact the organiser if you have accessibility requirements or wish to join remotely as the venue is stair access only.
